Terre Haute Brick Purchase - 75th Anniversary

2015 marks the 75th anniversary of the original USP and the 10th anniversary of the new USP. As part of the 75th/10th Anniversaries, we are planning a project which will culminate in an Alumni Circle on the grounds.  The circle will have the only flag to fly over the complex (we now have 5, and some days one is at half staff, one is at 3/4 staff, and the other three flying at full staff).

The important part of the Alumni Circle is a memorial dedicated to BOP staff who lost their lives since 1901.  The center of the circle is going to be a re-creation of the original 1 Tower and Sallyport entrance, including the original iron gate with eagle on top, and we're going to have benches, a brick walkway, and 4 of the original lamp posts lighting it at night.  It is going to be beautiful.

We are going to be selling paving bricks for the Alumni and current staff.  The bricks will be 4 by 8 inches, and will be for sale for anyone who ever worked here, or for anyone to buy one for anyone who ever worked here in the 75 years.  The bricks will allow for 3 lines for an inscription, and the bricks will pave the walkways.  The cost of each brick is $50.  Click here for purchase information.
